Privacy Policy

Short version: AllChat-AI collects absolutely no personal data. Everything the extension does happens locally inside your browser. Nothing is ever sent to any server. No accounts, no tracking, no analytics.

1. Who we are

AllChat-AI is a Chrome browser extension that allows users to export AI chat conversations from platforms including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Grok. The extension is operated as an independent tool with no corporate affiliation to any of those platforms.

2. Data we collect

We collect no data. None.

AllChat-AI does not collect, transmit, store remotely, or share any information about you or your conversations. This includes:

No personal identifiable information (name, email, IP address)
No conversation content or chat history
No browsing history or usage patterns
No analytics or telemetry
No crash reports or error logs sent externally
No cookies or tracking pixels

3. How the extension works

When you click the Export button on a supported AI platform, the extension reads the conversation text directly from the page you are currently viewing. This data exists only in your browser's memory for the moment it takes to generate your export file.

The exported file is saved directly to your device via your browser's standard download mechanism. No copy of the file or its contents is retained by AllChat-AI after the download completes.

The extension uses chrome.storage.local — your browser's local storage — to temporarily pass the captured conversation from the page to the extension popup. This data never leaves your device and is overwritten each time you perform a new capture.

4. Permissions explained

AllChat-AI requests the following Chrome permissions, each with a specific and limited purpose:

activeTab — to read the current AI platform page and capture the conversation
storage — to temporarily hold the captured conversation between the page and the popup
scripting — to inject the capture script into supported AI platform pages
tabs — to detect which platform you are on and display the correct status
downloads — to save your exported file to your device

No permission is used for any purpose beyond what is described above.

5. Third parties

AllChat-AI does not share any data with third parties because it does not collect any data to share. The extension does not include any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking libraries.

AllChat-AI is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), or xAI (Grok).

6. Children's privacy

AllChat-AI does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since we collect no data at all, there is no special risk to minors from using this extension.

7. Changes to this policy

If this privacy policy changes in a material way, we will update the date at the top of this page. Because we collect no data, any changes would only be relevant if the extension's functionality changes to involve data collection — at which point this policy would be updated to reflect that clearly before any such version is published.
